Step back to 1800s San Diego as you tour the family home of Thomas Whaley. After a brief 5-minute introduction, explore the Whaley House Museum at your own pace and speak with docents in each room.
Known as one of America’s most haunted houses, the Whaley House has a dark history of spiritual encounters and unexplained events. It offers a detailed look into San Diego’s past and is considered an important landmark since 1857.
The house is the oldest two-story brick building south of Monterey, featuring Greek Revival architecture. Over time, it has served as a family home, San Diego’s second county courthouse, a commercial theater, and a general store.
