Description
Tour the USS Midway with an audio guide available in six languages, revealing its history from World War II through Operation Desert Storm. View 25 restored aircraft and visit areas such as the TOP SECRET NAVAL Intelligence exhibit, crew sleeping quarters, and pilots’ ready rooms.
Docents share firsthand stories and insights that deepen understanding of the carrier’s role in the U.S. Navy. Most visitors spend three to four hours exploring the ship and its exhibits.
Family-friendly activities include three types of flight simulators, music videos, short films, and climb-aboard aircraft and cockpits. The museum is located at Navy Pier in downtown San Diego.
In October, children aged 6–12 receive free admission with each adult ticket. These child tickets are obtained at the ticket booth when presenting the adult ticket; no child ticket purchase is required online.

Important Information
- Children 6–12 are free in October with each adult ticket—child tickets are issued at the ticket booth upon adult ticket presentation
- Admission is free for children 5 years and younger and for active-duty military personnel (including reservists) with valid ID (daytime admission only)
- Open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM; last admission at 4:00 PM
- The museum is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
